Military Law
The military defense practice at The Law
Offices of Duane Stone provides clients with a uniquely effective combination
of experience in litigation and the expansive knowledge of a former JAG and
Military Defense Counsel in successfully defending serious allegations in the
military justice system. All of the attorneys at the Firm are veterans and use
their diverse backgrounds and military experiences to provide the most
effective defense possible to those who defend our great country. Out Military defense team is headed up by attorney
Jason Duncan.
Jason Duncan was a highly successful attorney in
the United States Army Judge Advocate General's Corps from 2002 through 2006. Mr.
Duncan served as a federal prosecutor for the military in one of its busiest
jurisdictions and successfully prosecuted over 130 Courts-Martial in almost 3
years. After serving a tour in Tikrit, Iraq,
Jason was reassigned as a defense counsel in the Military District of
Washington where he represented over 30 military members, in often complex
criminal cases, and has represented several military members in high-profile criminal
cases. As a JAG prosecutor and defense
counsel Jason prosecuted and defended military members (enlisted and officer)
accused of crimes ranging from D.U.I. and illegal drug use to sexual assault and
murder. Jason routinely achieved
superior results for his clients and his tireless efforts resulted in his earning
the Meritorious Service Medal for his work as a defense counsel.
Mr. Duncan also vigorously defended clients in
non-judicial punishment actions and succeeded in getting many of these actions
dropped or obtaining a not guilty finding. He successfully defended members in
administrative discharge actions, administrative discharge boards and other
adverse administrative actions.
In addition to Mr. Duncan's experience as a JAG
officer, the other members of our team bring their own unique military and
combat experiences to assist in successfully defending our clients. Our practice includes representing military
members from all services in locations throughout the United States
in all levels of courts-martial; non-judicial punishment; administrative
discharges; and all forms of investigations and disciplinary actions.
Finally, we assist current and former military
members in correcting military records, upgrading discharges and pursuing other
actions through the services' discharge review boards and boards for correction
of military records.
This dynamic blend of civilian litigation
experience and military experience allows our Firm to routinely achieve
superior results for our clients.
Additionally, because of the service background of the members of the Firm
we are pleased to offer a Veteran's
discount to all of our eligible clients.
This allows our clients to receive prominent and high-quality legal work
at an affordable price. This is just one
of the many ways that our Firm attempts to give back to those Americans who
have answered their country's call to service.
Thank you for your service and please contact us to discuss any of your
legal needs.
